Waterwise Gardening Partners
Cultivating a Sustainable Landscape
Waterwise gardening helps residents create landscapes that thrive in the local climate while conserving water. The District works with partner nurseries, landscape designers, and regional water agencies to promote native and drought-tolerant plants suited to the Inland Empire.
Workshops and demonstration gardens show how thoughtful design can reduce water use, support pollinators, and enhance soil health. The District’s role is to share the science behind these practices and connect residents with trusted experts and local plant resources.
Resources for Gardeners and Homeowners
Participants can access planting guides, soil management tools, and irrigation recommendations through the District’s partner, Chino Basin Water Conservation District. The District also highlights local demonstration sites where residents can see water-efficient landscapes in practice. These partnerships build knowledge and confidence in sustainable landscaping and help create a more resilient regional environment.
